About withdrawal

Kratom and especially 7-OH (7-hydroxymitragynine) act on the same brain receptors as opioids. Regular use can lead to dependence, and stopping suddenly can cause withdrawal that is uncomfortable and sometimes serious. A doctor can help you plan a safe taper or treatment, and some of the same treatments used for opioid dependence may be options. Please don't go it alone. Talk to a clinician before you stop.
